“World of Sound Books” –天下书声 and Themed Scholarships

Tianjin Yuesheng is a small community organisation founded on distributing audio books for people with visual impairments. Previously, China Vision sent audio books from the UK to this project. Now we are supporting the expansion of activities to the collection and distribution of Chinese audio books through a community centre.

“World of Sound Books” is a successful example of community action in schools: building accessible reading rooms, providing audio reading materials and sound magazines. Learners and teachers have expressed delight with these services which are leading to improvements in learning and achievement through reading.

Our next project is Themed Scholarships which will raise sums of £20 each to support individual learners who are actively taking part in the reading project.
