Natwest launches the first ever credit card for the blind with a notch to show the direction it should be used
Natwest has launched the first credit card for blind and partially sighted customers.
The card, approved by the Royal National Institute of Blind People, features a notch to show which direction it should be inserted into cashpoints or payment machines.
Raised markings help customers tell the difference between a credit card and other debit and savings cards, which the bank has offered since 2015.
The reverse side of the card has been designed for those who are partially sighted with the telephone numbers placed where no embossing will be and the font size increased by more than 50 per cent to make it easier to read.
